August 16

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus -Phil 2:5

Summer schedule has thrown me off but it doesn't mean that God has not been at work in and through our Crossroads community! Here are just a few of the ways I've seen God at work over the last week.

Here's a picture of our middle school students leaving for Wyldlife camp.  If you missed the announcement yesterday we collected $5700 in 2 weeks in our extra offering and the cost for kids and transportation was just over $5500.  How cool is that??

Saturday night we had a small group of Crossroads folks helping to take down the tents at the Hampstead Carnival to support the local fire dept.  We had a good time and received a lot of remarks about how much help we had been.  We keep serving and God will keep opening doors for the Gospel!

Please share your stories!!

  1. I second the enthusiasm about the middle school kids at camp! Let's just keep praying hard for life change. Middle School is such a significant time for kids to decide about Jesus, so I'm praying that they each would take a huge step of faith and come back on fire for C3 and their friends!! --Jim P Also, thanks to Jesse Cook for co-leading worship! What a great heart and great talent!

  2. I am grateful for our new volunteers! We had one new lady who volunteered through Text-to-serve and served in the Information Center this week and even recruited a friend to serve with her. There was also another lady who is excited about serving in hospitality in Hampstead. Lastly, I had my first meeting and prayer time with my new "elder" prayer partner (actually with his wife). What a wonderful time that was! I am grateful for all the encouragements in ministry that the Lord provided this week!

  3. It was fun to see the parents of Young Life Camp kids in church this past Sunday. Three kids brought parents (that I am aware of) ....for the very first time!
